My 2wd tranny is out, I pulled it this morning to swap the 465/205 and the clutch forks I have wont work. I bought a hydro bellhousing from a guy that was using a "pull" style hydro clutch. I have no idea what that is or what it would have came on to get parts (slave cylinder) that would work in this arrangment. I bought a slave for a hydro 465 from a 1 ton. and its to long to even mount on the bellhousing and in between the clutch fork
What vehicles came with hydro'd 4 speeds? my neighbors 87 1 ton has it, but I know Im not finding a fork like that in any junk yards near me. Will a shift fork from a manual 4 speed work? I doubt it but Im desperate. I need to get this thing back together quickly. Please give me some options to look at!!!!

Oh damn...lol I just did some diggin from the cat I got the housing from. Its Jim Obrein from ETO racing and he had what appears to be a fairly elaborate setup on his to make it work....damn

Damn no ass-istance at all LOL
I "modified" the one of the forks and got that sorted out, still need a plate to cover up the clutch on the bottom though. Also the damn oil sender seems to be in the way, not sure yet because I still havent gotten the heavy ass crap up to the engine...its kinda hangin from the frame rails by ratchet straps right now LOL. Had to get it close so I could cut the floor out for the shifters and all.
QUESTION>>>>>>> How do you make a speedometer work off of one of these shits? My old tranny had a damn 2 wire connector that I assume ran the speedo...the tcase obviously had a cable so what do I do. I need a speedo I DD this thing.
I have no idea what you are builing or why you do not just buy the factory 465 hydro stuff from an 85-87

It was once an 89 C1500 2wd 4.3.. I swapped in a 350 and kept the fuel injection. Then I decided to make it 4wd so now its linked in the back and springs in the front D44 with chromo's and CTMS 14B in the rear and one of these days 465/205.
Anybody have any suggestions on the speedometer dealio? Anyone make an adapter that will convert a cable style to the 2 wire type sender? I did a search and saw a bunch of talk of VSS signals and stuff.

This will help, you need to mount the VSS in the NP205 tailhousing:
