i just put a pair of widetrack axles from an 83 cj7 in my 81. the bolt that attaches the brake line to the caliper is too big. i am thinking about ordering new lines and bolts, but wanted to know if anyone knew if the hoses are the same at the top, where they attach at the frame. it would suck to order new hoses and be in the same situation at the top of the line as i'm in with the bottom now.
thanks

The fitting at the frame is a 3/8-24 inverted flare.
The wide track (and 81 narrow track) should have a 3/8" banjo bolt. If for some reason the widetrack axle has a 7/16" banjo (from a caliper swap or something) just drill your original banjo out to 7/16's. Use new crush washers and you should be fine.

my banjo bolt(from the narrow track set) is too big for the caliper and i don't have the one from the wide track.

You can swap the knuckles and brakes and run the early stuff if you want.
Or buy some 3/8" banjo bolts at the parts store and run them. I think they are in the help section usually.
