in all seriousness, what front springs would be best in an 85 4runner, with stock front hangers, no ubolt flip cause keeping stock steering for a while, want to fit 33's with only bashing the inner fender seam, no cutting the fenders? but i want to put crossover steering later so i would like the pitman arm to clear, i will flip the ubolts later. want to keep stock drive shaft.

want to seriously upgrade later when more money to get 35"+ tires dont want to regear, put longs in, dual transfercase. but right now i just want a little more room, 31s rub now.

some say wait, but i cant.

so i guess rears up front out of question with stock steering, im probably gonna do chevys in the rear. so im saving money there. i was thinking downey cause they have military wrap but not sure if 33"s will clear with bashing fender seam

it is a daily driver.

thanks

if you're not going to x-over yet, i'd suggest 4" YJ rear springs.

When I had my old 85 Toy, it had some 6" lift springs on it. They sucked, to say the least. So to lose some lift, I went to the junkyard and got a few spring packs that were relatively flat and as wide as toy ones. I just put some packs together using the 85 main, and played around til I got what I wanted. Didn't flex half bad in the end, even though my shackle angle sucked :flipoff2: So basically just get some junk springs and mess around til you get something good...
