speedo gear for d300

I need a speedo gear for my dana 300 t-case. I have 4.56 gears and run 36x12.50 tires. where can I get it and which one do I need?

You need a 34 tooth gear, part number 52068156. Available at the dealer.

BTW - My mother lives in Val-P, small world huh?

val-p what a dump...;) j/k it is a small world and val-p is a small place. According to this website: http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoSpeedoGears.htm I would need a 36 tooth - would a 34 work better since the tires aren't really 36" tall? Thanks for the info.

She just moved from Nicevile, lived there for 20 years. I thought the same thing when she told me, but there's some upscale developemnet back in there close to the Eglin gate. :shrug:

I used a 34 tooth on mine with 36" SX's and it was pretty much spot on. If you're running closer to 35's, the 36 tooth would probably work better.

Jeep dealer, just give 'em that part number. Here's the number for the 36 tooth - 52068158.

This is a new jeep (well, all new parts) so I didn't run it with the original speedo gear.
