tell me about the dana 61 front

I read the article in the tech section under the 60 bible, under dodge but it does not say what the applications are.

What rigs did this thing come in and what years?
how to ID it visuallly?
Anyone ever pick up one of these on accident?

I am assuming that it will be stamped 61 insted of 60 next to the pumpkin...right?

they look just like a dana 60...except it will have really high gears, like 3.07 or something. IIRC, they came out of early Cummins powered Dodges with the TF727 transmission. the matching dana 70 rear is also an oddball.
