found a 72, with closed knuckle drum front, and a 60-2 rear, 8 lug. Mechanically sound, tranny is the granny 4spd, warn hubs, and all running gear is good. passes emissions, and has a rochester auto choke 2bbl on a 360. Bed is rusted to sh!t.

Not really for wheeling, would be used as a shop/delivery truck. I would have posted in the jeep forum, but these are actually basic questions. and I have been to the fsja site.

NO power brakes. NO Power steering.

Problems:
needs brake rebuild front and rear, adjusters are siezed in the rear.

cost is 700

I am NOT a fsj guy, so I need so opinions on what I would be into to redo the brakes and bearings and redo the box. Is it possible to put disc's on a closed knuckle with a waggy power booster?

Help a brother out will ya?

Im not a jeep guy but I say if the rest of the truck is good find a later mod front axle and swap it in. Even if you have to get a 1/2 ton front end you can swap in 8 lug outers from the big 3

Since you say the rear is a 8 lug 60-2 could you get the BOM off of it and take some pics. There are many who don't believe that 60-2's came in 8 lug FF, but I had one in a ford van many years ago
