I want to get some new leaf springs for my 67 D200 power wagon. The main reason is to make the damn bone shaker alot (not a little) more supple.

I don't want more than 3 inches of lift.

What's a real good spring and were can i get them??

Thanks,

Chris

not sure if 67 is the same as a 69, but superlift offers a 2.5" or 3.5" lift. i personally think superlift makes good bolt on lift kits. i'm in your neck of the woods, PM me if you need anything.

Thanks Brian. I was looking at their site the other nite and downloaded a spec sheet (which I could barely read). I'm guessing that the 69 couldn't be any different than the 67 either.

I just want to soften up the ride so the truck doesn't get so beat up on the roads around here. Know what I'm sayin?

Are you in the biz?

Thanks again,

Chris

Your 67 may have bronze bushings in the frame at the shackles.
You may have to fab a shackle and a frame mount to use a 69 and later spring.
If your looking for lift and have a welder you can do what i did. Build a spring mount below the frame rail and in front of the original shackle mount. Move the shackle to the rear mount and use the longer rear leaf on the front of the truck. You get about 4" of lift and you get a longer leaf up front which should ride and flex and steer better. Mine did.

fullsize, you and me both -- the driveway and the serious about having fun thing. life is short.

I was looking at the Rancho site today too to see if i could find out anything there. thanks again for the heads up.

hey dogbend, that's a pretty good idea. i reckon that method would do alot for my steering angle too.

thanks,

Chris
