Anyone have one of these? I've been pondering getting one cause it seems like it would be cool to have for body pannels and such. I hate to spend 400 on something that is just junk though. Any experience is appreciated.

I've used the Northern Tool version of that and it sucked. Wouldn't shear straight, it would "suck" the piece of metal in as you pulled on the handle, and never cut on the line. The brake also bent more on the outsides, than the middle even after adjusting it (40" model). Ended up returning it, as it wouldn't work well enough for even part-time use.

Camo has some Enco sheetmetal stuff.
I've been thinking about getting a slip roll as well, in spite of my best attempts at the contrary, there are still some tools I do not own :flipoff2:

As far as a shear goes, I have an Enco 52"x 16 ga. foot shear & it works great. Those 3 in 1 machines are geared for a HVAC shop where the max is20-22 ga. Enco has some nice stuff, their slip roll woks great as well.
You can make your own press brake relatively cheaply. We have one that we made a few years ago & it works awesome. It uses a 40 ton shop press & a 3/4" plate for a table. a 1/16" groove is machined out of the center to accept the dies. The top consists of a piece to hold the top die & sits on a couple of valve springs on each side. The dies are the expensive part, you can usually buy them from a scrap dealer or a machine tool company. They sell it by the pound.Tehy have cut off scrap piesces that are reasonably priced.
The best tools are a single unit made for one purpose only IMO.

How well do the rolls on the 3-in-1 machines work? I need to do some floorpan repair work.

I have the 40" HF (aka Hardly Functional) and it is ok. It doesn't shear worth a damn but is good for light guage bending. If I had it to do over I would buy one that was just a brake and buy some Porter Cable tin snips or something else for cutting. The shear is almost useless even on 26 guage. Hell, I am not even sure if it could shear cardboard. As far as the roll goes. I really have not had many uses for it. Invest in a brake that can bend at least 16 guage and you will be happier.
