: Clocking a D20 behind a C4 (EB)

Has anyone done this? How? (looking for a flat skid plate)

First the adaptor has little knobs where it bolts to the D20, so re-drilling the adaptor is a no-go. I've a 7? C4 with adaptor and also picked up a T-case with 3 speed, both are the same design at the D20 end. However I have heard the Early 66 EB had a completely round adaptor that could be drilled. Just can't find one after seeing over 10 cases for sale

Second, I bought an extra D20, opened it up and the case has bosses where the bolt's from the adaptor attach. So re-drilling the case isn't an option.

Third my only option seems to be a thin 1/4" ring like I saw at www.bc4x4.com, but I don't like the idea of spacing out my t-case a 1/4" and having that ring hold my drive train together.

Forth, maybe I should just do the C4-203-D20 thing after all. (If I win the local lotto)

So, any other ideas?
