: Lowes Dewalt 7" angle grinder $89
E_in_TN 10-22-2004, 09:28 PM I was in my local lowes I was looking for a new grinder and the 4.5" were in the $70 -$90 range. Then as I was walking around looking for galvanized fittings I found on one of the dewalt endcaps they had the7" angle grinder on clearence for $89 usually $149. Thought that is was a good deal that you might find local.

tonyjsmithjr01 10-24-2004, 02:45 PM I work for a trailer manufacturing company and we had one of them dewalt 7" grinders, they got it for me when my 7 year old milwaulkie (sp) crapped out, I killed the dewalt in about 15 min of grinding welds on a trailer ramp door, total smokage. I wouldnt get it if you going to use it very hard.
We have the bigger dewalts though a they have lasted very long and dependable.
CanuckJeeper 10-25-2004, 08:06 AM People are still buying DeWalt?

ridefast 10-26-2004, 08:55 AM i picked up a GMC (i think thats the brand) from lowes for something like $29....nothing special about it, and im not plannin to cut through a building with it or anything, but so far it has done what i have needed it to...cuttin off spring perches, through sheet metal, etc.
only downside so far, is that once it heats up, it takes damn near forever to cool back down...no real slow down though
oh well
Deranged 10-27-2004, 10:58 AM I got a Ryobi for about $30 with a bunch of accessories in a hard case, and i've been real impressed with it!
E_in_TN 10-28-2004, 09:18 PM It is the first dewalt tool I have owned, I mostly have bosch, makita, porter cable, and Ingersol. I do have the thirty dollar ryobi grinder also, it is a 4". I am aware that dewalt(yellow B&D) is pretty shitty but for that money if it lasts 6 months it will saved me $89 in time. hope I helped someone find a decent deal on a big grinder.

So the actions of DeWalt were acceptable to you as good customer service? Seems to me that DRM did a fine job presenting his case and I'll continue to purchase other brands. I'm guessing you've got an entire shop full of black and yellow tools, like everybody else in the entire continent. Now tell me who's the fuckin' sheep. I suppose the next thing you're going to say is "They make really good tools".

Funny, I buy DeWalt grinding wheels and blades just because they pissed DRM off and caused months of drama in shit-shat.
But I boycott their tools because they suck these days. Milwaukee or Bosche for me.
then you are still a sheep :shaking:
I'm a sheep too. When money allows I'll be selling my two DeWalt tools on Ebay (with some nice text about DeWalt) and replacing w Milwaukee or Porter Cable
EDIT: I remembered Black & Decker recently bought Porter Cable....hmmm

Sweet. Adan's not going to like that. Hope you have your "authorized dealer" paperwork up to snuff. I'll be looking for the next drama drill thread. :D

Im not gonna get in some stupid internet fight about this :shaking: I stopped paying attention to the drama drill thread after it got more than 2 pages. Im sure other companies have pulled the same shit with ebay ads but you havent heard about it. you say "Im still.........in the name of DRM" you tell me thats not sheepish
Phonedoc 10-30-2004, 10:39 AM I'm not seeking an e-fight with anybody. I've got better things to do than get involved in creating drama. Such as reading somebody else's. I simply formed an opinion based on the evidence presented and re-stated it under this topic. You think I'm a sheep, so be it. You're opinion is just as big as mine. No worries. Cheers and good evening.
