looking at possibly doing axle swaps on my 2wd tracker..and it would of course be 4wd, SO..what kind of setup should i run?

i read that the dualtcase mod on stock tcases is crap? so should i just get a stock tcase from a kick/tracker and it SHOULD mount right up to my 1.6 8v/5sp?

id like to get axles in the 4.+ range, dont know which route i should go, it seems like the EASIEST and CHEAPEST route would be leafs..so that may be the route i go if i end up starting the conversion, would it be my best/easiest/cheapest route if i go with toy truck axles and run leafs all around?

if so..will the toy axles bolt riht up to my tcase?

sry for being a newb..i am searching, just thought id post questions as im sifting through the WEALTH of info here..totally new to trackers and just contemplated doing this less than a week ago, thanks!

no the t-case will not mount up to your tranny, 4x4 is a mated tanny/t-case. you will need a whole new tranny, your best bet would be to run a sami t-case, its not mated, just need to figure out a mount.

toy axles will fit if you make them fit though, hope you know how to weld good and make parts.

so..to avoid doing a tranny/tcase swap from a kick/tracker, i should just run a sami tcase? it will mount up to my tranny? where will i get the shaft to go inbetween the two, will one stolen off of a sami work?

ott makes a tranny transfer case that mates a sidekick/toyota together,so checkout ott industries,they might have something that would link the suz motor with the toyota driveline,a little spendy but you will also get duel t-cases out of it .passenger drop front and rear

To go yota tranny to zuk motor you need a RingR . The OTT stuff will let you use a 4wd kick tranny , kick reduction box and then yota, dana or another kick tcase .They make some pretty slick stuff .
