I have just put the 16V in my Sami. I have the usual hood clearance issues. I just made new rock sliders and a rear bumper so I would rather not do a body lift unless I have to.

I did a search and looked at some threads for putting a hood scoop on a Sami but, no info on what scoop was used or where to get them was given.

Tusker, I liked the one you posted for Samit Patel but he never posted his info. Do you know where he got his?

I would like to see some other Ideas If there are some and if anyone has the size or place they bought there scoop that would be great.
Thanks, Bob

I don't have the info on Samit's scoop. You might try emailing him. He is really helpful, IF you can get ahold of him. Another option is the Petroworks motor mounts, which lower the engine an inch or so. That is what I am running. Kinda pricey, but hey, it's only money :D

I believe so. If you call Petroworks, they can tell yoy if someone doesn't chime in here first.

another possiable option would be to put spacers at the hinges of the hood I think I lifted mine 1 inch I just drilled and tapped 4 holes in a piece of 1/8 x 1 1/2 flat bar.

Per Brent's suggestion, I shimmed up the two front pair of body mounts, I used 3/4" at the front mounts and 3/8" at the next point. Oh, then I readjusted the doors...

Some guys Ive seen just keep slaming the hood until it stays shut. Youll dent the crap out of it but itll work eventually :D
