alright..i found a rolling frame from a sammy, with SPOA setup already, tcase, intermediate shaft, all the suspension parts needed

what else do i need besides driveshafts? will the driveshafts bolt up..or are they a different bolt pattern?

anyone else done this? i'll be tossing it onto a 2wd tracker if it matters

thanks :cool2:

edit:the running gear is from an 88.5 sammy he believes, and he said he thinks he has the driveshafts too

The flanges that bolt to the axle have a different bolt spacing, or so I am told, but the Ujoints are the same size, so you can put a sammy flange on a tracker driveshaft.

also, the Samurai axles are like 6" narrower than the Tracker's.

6" narrower..didnt even think about that, how will that affect my clearence on the frame? i wont be using stock sammy wheels most likely..will be using my broncos stock wheels

anyone done this before? any problems with rubbin frame at all?

Well it depends on the year of the tracker your using.

Pre '96 tack/kicks have a wms of ~55.5", '96 and up have a ~57" wms.

Samurai axles are ~51.5" wms.

Hope that helps you out a bit.

ok use tha stcok tracker axel (5:13 gears and stronger) then get a fron diff from a 4wd tracker and bolt it into the front sammy axel. And as for the bolt pattern trackera are a 14 mm bolt and some years the sammy came in 14 mm (88 i think) in any case just redrill the flange for the sammy bolt pattern it works good my self and lots of other have done it without problems

this is on a 92 tracker..btw

and if i use differnet axles..the rear will be like 4 inches wider? is that ok? also..i'll look into swapping diffs into the axles..didnt know theyd work that way? are they the same spline? what would make the tracker axles stronger if the diffs are interchangeable?

also...would my leafs work fine on the tracker rear axle then? just grinding off old coil mounts and putting on the spoa stuff?
