You guys are awesome! Thanks for being so patient with the raffle date. I'm sorry a few people voiced concern. Dave has always been upfront from the beginning about timing on the raffle. The 8th post on this thread from DSI says the date would be when Nick is able to walk out of the house and into the shop to pull numbers. Another later post guessed that there could be a chance that maybe around the 1st of December might be a possibility depending upon Nick's condition and if he was capable. Nick's posts have been keeping you updated on how he is progressing so you all can know yourselves where he is at in his recovery process. To the people who want their money back, PM me (instead of Dave) and we'll gladly send it back. Dave has done alot to set up this raffle and maintain it and we feel bad he is catching flak. To the vendor or vendors that withdrew your product, that is certainly your right. I just hope you aren't one of the vendors that financially benefited by pledging temporary support for this raffle (I ran into someone who told me they specifically ordered needed products they were shopping for from some vendors listed here because they pledged support for Nick's raffle). So again, thanks for everyone's patience. Nick is looking forward to seeing his shop friends at Shaffer's Off-road and pulling the raffle numbers as soon as he is able. I'd imagine that he's all healed for the most part. Yes he is in Texas, lower part of the state, mud and flats only. And thank you to everyone involved in the raffle and helping my family. I am doing well. I'm in houston, tx designing offroad stuff on the computer, I still get in the shop a bit too to fab, but unfortunately not as much custom stuff. But I picked up a cheap 4runner and will get to build that up for the camping and wheeling. Believe me I have alot of ideas saved up from laying in a hospital. I'll get the chance to promote and support the vendors who helped me.....watch out in the Toyota forum. Too bad the wheeling is so far around here....I miss nor cal. My surgeries are done unless I want some titanium removed. I have recovered almost fully except for my left hand. It was crushed and I have limited movement in the wrist but better than nothing (thanks to my Dr.) I can testify. My last two knuckles are inverted and don't close (as in a grasp) but all my feeling is back and all fingers move with that one exception. I have my daily pains, low back and knee but the hand is the biggest limiting factor as I can't lift as heavy of objects due to the awkward grasp and supination of the hand/wrist. I work 9hr days and most days it's in the shop. I work out about 3x a week to help daily comfort and eat well and barring my left arm am looking healthier than I ever have (even wrestling). Diet really matters. I did spot a few times starting with the globe event 3 1/2 mo. after the accident. and then a couple times following including back at SLC and on that course. I am getting married on Oct. 17th of this year...(the accident day)..in nor cal...watch out for a rubi run the weekend prior, if weather permits. Nikki is the one who helps me through it all daily. It's humbling to have to let your fiancee' get the heavier items when going to the store....but I'm getting stronger lately. We're getting into a house in about a month and I finally get my own garage.... things are well. thanks to my parents and sister for everything they've ever done for me and their support in everything. thanks again to all and please support those who supported me, it could have been you they helped.
