Ok i have been searching around here and mud and haven't really seen anything about front bumper mounting.

I am doing a simple 4x2 C channel 1/4in thick, this will have an 8274 mounted to it on the back side with the fairlead mounted to the front of the bumper. now the question is How the hell do i mount it to my truck. With SOA and SR? I am going to plate my frame horns In and out(a bunch of extra holes ect from the PO). I would like to keep the vin number intact also so i can't just put holes in the vin #.

What do you guys suggest? I know Woody just welded a piece of 2x4 to the front of his rig and that seems to work. Any other ideas?

now that it's running i want to get the details in order so i can drive it on the road and this is one that is driving me nuts:-)

Stew , check with Butch Lewis. His kits are the bomb and do exactly what you want. I believe Pygpen posted a pic not to long ago of the whole kit laid out on table uninstalled. He might be sellin it.
