What a great weekend at the Ranch. Excellent weather and drivers that flat out kick A$$. All the rigs that started, finished the event and no one held back. On the last stage Palmer gave us a 3:01 minute run with Crash right on top of him with a 3:05 it was insane.

Event #3
1st place Josh and Paul
2nd place Crash (Harrison)
3rd place Mike Palmer

Season Overall
1st place Crash (Harrison Beene)
2nd place was a tie between Josh and Palmer and Josh won the tie breaker
3rd place Mike Palmer

This was a great season, and I would like to say a few thanks to the folks that made it happen. The Drivers first and formost, this was the reason I created this Series, for the drivers!

Second I would like to thank all the folks that help put on an event of this nature. (Judges, Concesions, Medics, course setup)

I must thank all the media that has come to our events and makes hero's of our drivers. (Brad with Off-road.com, Jaffer with Pirate 4x4, Craig @ Petersens, Brad with Superlift TV, and of course Jeremy with BFE filmes/AREA BFE)

Our sponsors have been great to us. Premier Power welder. The folks at Pro Comp tire, Warn Indust., and Avalanche Engineering.

Lastly thank you to Steve Rumore of Avalanche Ranch for letting me run with a dream. To anyone I may have missed, sorry and thank you.

Next season is going to be even more insane with the help of CalROC's and we are hitting the road to bring Rock Racing to an area near you. Please watch www.xrra.com for more information.

Thanks again,
Michael Weaver

Mike,
Glad to hear of a great season. I think this form of comps are awesome. I'm going to try very hard to hit atleast 2 events next year. Keep up the good work.

Anyone that comes Rock Racing will not be disappointed. Glad to hear you guys will be out next season to experiance a Rock Race. This is old school wheeling with speed!

I wish all the crawlers well, this is just another way to push your limits in wheeling. The idea of rock racing is to get back to the driver choosing what line is best not the cones or the spotter. Two seat rigs are best in my opinion, the spotter becomes a navigator feeding information to the driver for the driver to make the best decision for what is coming. The navigator is also important in that he must quickly work with the driver in making the call to pull cable when stuck in an area to long. There are no penalties for pulling cable, it is what we have always done when wheeling. A consistant flow is what it takes to do well.

Next season will be great and I would encourage early registration for we will have to limit entries with the sport growing as it is. Please call or e-mail for more info.

Thanks,

Michael Weaver
