: Leaf spring slip?

I'd like some input about what kind of material to sandwich between my leaves that will make them more slickery and let them flex more. I'm keeping the stock lengths - 42" front - 57" rear. Teflon is out because of the way it creeps under load.

Ideas - suggestions?

one place is Plastic sales Southern 323.728.8309 they have the cut-to-length leaf liners, but there are other companies out there. Call a local street rod shop, they should have some.

I ordered a 100' roll of 21/2" wide adhesive backed UHMW Here: http://www.can-dotape.com/

Really helped the Pro crap springs flex and ride better!!! (This is her opinion so it had to have worked!!!)

Disassemble the springs, wire brush them smooth again, paint them with slip plate (or mix up some dry graphite in a can of paint), re-assemble the springs, and paint them again with a good black paint to prevent rust on the exposed surfaces.

Thanks MillerMan - I think that'll do the trick. I gotta admit, though, I never thought about the ride quality. 'Sides, my spousal unit is still pissed because I didn't get her a new passenger seat when I replaced the driver's side. Maybe this will lower the flame.
