Done lots of searching and think i have narrowed it down to either the Pro-Tools Model 400 or the JD2 Model 4. This is for my dad and he's not Internet savy... Will be used mostly for racks, bumpers and sliders, round and square tubing. Probably mostly 1.5" round .120 DOM tubing and smaller. He wants Hydraulic, does not matter if its air or electric... Probably will go air since its a little cheaper.

So with that said... whats your experience with either of them? would you buy it again? easy to use? durable? can you suggest any other benders in that price range you feel are better buys?

thx,
Brian

I like my model 4. with an enerpac air over hydro turbo pump, it's easy to
use, and very controllable for the degree of bend you want. dies are
priced from the model 3 listing on the jd2 website. some of the parts when
they first arrived had a very poor finish on them, but that was during their
"growth-spurt" time, so who knows now. JD2 customer service is very good.

I recommend their product with nothing to hold back on.

If you have any questions about the Mod 4's, please don't hesitate to give us a call! Or stop by and see one at SEMA, I will have one on display if you are coming out!
