Anybody know if the ford and chevy 208 have the same bolt circle? I am looking to put the for input gear in a chevy np208 and bolt behind my c6 to get the front output out of the way for either a doubled np205 or divorced np205.

Let me know.

Thanks,
Jason

you may have to egg out some holes on the extension housing or leave a stup out..the jjep and dodge cases bolt right on save for the spacer issue, the inputs swap direct. dodge ford or jeep..i have not used a chevy input personally itself, but they look the same so i cant see it not working.

there is a snag though.

you either have to cut an inch or so off the output shaft or have a inch to a 1 1/4 inch spacer machined to bolt it on. but if you got the shorter extension housing on the c6 now, swapping the longer one will save the need for a spacer or a shaft cut down.

if you go over to mt pleasant there should still be an oilfield machine shop that cuts down and rethreads drill collars, i just grabbed a hunk of drill collar stock and had them make me up some spacers. i am all out now. i think it is j&s machine. its been since 96 so i cant remember.

Hmm, I will start looking for a chevy 208 to experiment with then. Thanks for the info. My father in law is a machineist and can do government jobs for me on the weeked so I will set him on a spacer... I would rather not cut the output of the tranny 'cause who knows how long I will be running this...

Thanks again,
Jason

well the only problem i seen with the chevy case is the bolt circle offset on a ford would turn it up into the bottom of the floor or under the middle of truck. it seems the studs are oriented different. i will have to check that again.
