What are buggys running outside of tire to tire? I am just looking for an avg width, I know they are all different.

We're VERY wide at 79"

Many are running around 74"

The smallest are down in the upper 60's"

Just depends on your CG, body width, suspension, and driving style.

Kinda depends on what kind of buggy you're talking about, my last one was 92" on the front axle and I know of a buggy that is over 10'.

I know he didn't say it in particular, but I'm assuming since this is in the Comp forum that he's asking about comp buggy width. Like Dustin said it depends on some other factors how skinny you can go, but anything above 80" and you're giving yourself a disadvantage

EDIT, I'm 78" wide.

The scrambler is at 78" in the front and 76" in the rear. Very stable. :D

77" Front 75" rear. Going 1" narrower on the front.

73" front and 72" rear, keep the CG low!!!

thanks for the widths guys. yeah I am talking about a comp rig. we are building some new axles for our comp rig and wanted to see what kind of widths you guys were running.

On that note, what are you guys running body width wise in comparison to the tire width. and is it single or double seater.

Mike I'm 32" wide and at 73" wide for the tires. Kinda would have made it just a hair wider since I'm a big boy.

My chassis is 48" wide (2 Seater), wheelbase of 103" long and 74.5 wide front, 73 wide rear. Sits 68" tall with 25" of ground clearance under the belly.

I'm 72 inch front and rear and the body is 34", the wheel base sucked up is 100" and extended 110"

yes on the total width. I decides not to go with that width due to seeing something similar and it not working what-so-ever.
