: UROC on ESPN II this Thursday AND Sunday
RedBullJeep 10-27-2004, 10:08 PM Another VERY important thing for our sport so tune in and give feedback...let's keep this on top for a few days!
The Farmington UROC event will air tomorrow (or today depending on when you read this...) on ESPN II.
Thursday - 4pm EST and more importantly
again on Halloween - Sunday October 31st at 12:30pm EST
For the first time, RockCrawling will have a major media network showing our event during a great weekend time. SO, make sure you catch it on BOTH days...remember, those times are Eastern. This is a big opportunity and was completely unexpected. Please tune in and then show your enthusiasm by writing into ESPN II.
Please ask your friends, neighbors, families, etc to take just a few minutes to do one of the following:
Fill out the feedback form at:

Big Hoss 10-27-2004, 10:28 PM Is it called Tough Trucks? I'm looking right now on my digital cable to record it and that's the only thing around.
EDIT: Crap. Sorry, Its called Auto Racing. I'm going to watch and fill out the feedback stuff.
Plush_Darkside 10-27-2004, 11:54 PM What sucks is they are condensing it down to a half hour show. Once they talk for 10 minutes we might get to see a couple "highlights" between comercials. :mad3:

Actually, that's pretty appropriate. Keep in mind all the slow stuff is gonna look really unimpressive on TV. You'll see some climbs & crashes. Not representative of the sport perhaps, but you don't want the "casual" viewer to fall asleep during the broadcast either.

ANYTHING is better than nothing. Plus you gotta start somewhere. This time a few minutes, next time a few more. Before we know it, if we let them know we like what we saw, we will be watching an hour and maybe, dare I hope, LIVE coverage!!!!!!!!!
:bounce2:
dare I hope, LIVE coverage!!!!!!!!!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Gotta make 'em a little shorter than 3 days first :flipoff2:

BigWoodyWag 10-28-2004, 01:15 PM What was on ESPN last Saturday night, close to or just after midnight?
I was in a bar partying pretty hard and they had it on a couple big projector screens. The group of us went crazy and proceeded to get highly intoxicated(more than we already were) and cheer on the likes of everyone, to the point we had everyone in the bar watching and cheering for the drivers.

So your saying that LIVE coverage of the runoff for 1st Place at Supercrawl wouldn't be acceptable??? :flipoff2:
It took a little over an hour to run each division through, but then we didn't have commercials to break for! Heck I think it may have taken longer for the awards ceremony to get under way AFTER Randy completed his winning run than it did for all the competitors to run the course period.

Dunno, how many days did THAT take? :flipoff2: Seriously though, if anything is gonna be live, it would have to be something like a "finals" - preferably an hour or less, definitely no more than 2 hours. Covering the entire event just wouldn't work at all.

Totally agree with the whole event being impossible live. It's not Farmaid afterall!
 But the run off at SC III was one course and 8/5 rigs from the two divisions. That is TOTALLY doable.
Now I'm watching the ESPN coverage. Wasn't that Peter (?) spotting for Mike instead of Lance????
badassjeepguy 10-28-2004, 08:05 PM i dont delieve it was condenced, it was always 1/2 hour other than the first one which was 2 shows back to back making that one an hour?
