I was looking for #'s by the way, not attitude, so how about we back up a min and quit it with that newbie shit... its annoying. if i was looking at what i needed i would measure/post engine/ tranny/t-case... however i was asking those people out there with 5.5" lifts what THEIR driveshaft length was at. And i have my reasons. the kits already on and everything is all fine and dandy, the new drive shaft works fine, i was just looking to try and setup an average for a 97TJ. this way i can fine tune my rig. say what you will but dont waste posts in a tech thread if your not looking to help out.
so once again (and lets not read between the lines here, the question is simple) anyone out there who has a 97TJ with a 5.5" lift, please tell me what your rear driveshaft length is at. thankyou.
oh, and i believe the expression is... :flipoff2:

Because you don't seem to understand English , let's try again.

What tranny?
What engine?
What T case?

There IS a difference depending on which one of each there is in your rig. So before you spout off at the face again, try answering those 3 simple little questions :flipoff2:

 Ok, to help you go away, I'll give you what my rear shaft's length is.

TJ + 4.0 + NV3550 + D300 + 1310 d-line + 6" lift = ~20.75".

I just re-read your post above, and you sir, are an Asshat. With a capital A.

What difference does it make what anyone else's driveshaft length is, if yours is already installed? You cannot "fine tune" your driveshaft length.

Perhaps you should try your question again here (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/login.php?do=logout&u=15631)

fine, you guys are right, im dumb and should probly go and die. i wasnt trying to start a fight, i was just trying to set up a range for a number of different applications. i understand that different combos create different lengths, and i wasnt trying to "fine tune my driveshaft", like i may have made it seem, just trying to see what other people had in order to try and determine if i should adjust my control arms to get the rear end closer to perfection then where it sits now. im sure this doesnt sound like it would help anyone, but i was just hopeing to spot consistancies and i was planning on later emailing those whos drive lengths were within the same range as my own. sorta working backwards. this is why i posted it as a quick q and didnt go into much detail, i just wanted the numbers to work with. this method im sure makes me sound even more like an asshole, but im young and learning as i go. i dont feel that it was a dumb question that should go in the newbie section because i was also going to use this same sort of method of working backwards to fabricate a trailer for my TJ. the range of measurements would also help me there, where i also havent desided on a drivetrain. i didnt mean to seem like an asshole and im sorry if i pissed anyone off. you can call me an asshat or newbie or whatever, I was just asking a simple question of those who i know could answer it. and if i really pissed you off, then you can tell me again to piss off. i was just posting cuzz i thought you guys could help me out, i guess thats what i thought the board was for.

Dude, adjust your control arms to get your wheelbase back with that lift you have, and THEN measure and cut shaft to fit, not the other way around

And in future if you're looking for info like this try here (http://www.jeepsunlimited.com).

My rear shaft length is 24.5". I won't tell you what combo is in there because you don't care, so there it is. Oh, and mine is a 97.

Lift it, then measure and have them made.
