What stock electric fans blow the most CFM's I've heard IROC camero's blow pretty good. Are there any others i should look for i just can't bring myself to pay $80-$100 or more for one at a parts house.

1984-85 oldsmobile cutlass calais diesels had a 17" 2speed fan that you can reverse the rotation on if you want by reversing the wire leads it blows hard the 2speed is nice because you can run two different temp switches or a manual overide to throw it into hi gear. there just isn't too many of them around, they also have a lower profile motor design for tight quarters

This came up a few months ago......I think it was about the Unimog/Bronco Buggy...apparently the Ford T-birds (late model) had a killer electric fan.........:D

We were just discussing this in another thread.......This is a taurus fan....early/mid 90's ???

It's 2 speed, and has a low profile motor. Very cool fan(NPI) OEM quality at a fraction of the cost of aftermarket crap.

HMMMM....

I went to the junk yard in search of the mentioned Taurus fan. There were 46 taurus cars in the yard. And NOT EVEN 1 electric fan to be seen.

I feel your pain man, I made multiple trips in search of this fan, finally gave up. Then one day I was wondering through the yard and spotted one. It was laying inside of a car. It was a newer station wagon, and I didn't catch the year, not even sure if that was the car it came from.

There's something special about he application, but I don't know what it is.....sorry. Bitchen fans though. At least you know what it looks like now.

It's only on HD cooling pkg. or the loaded cars, mine is off a 91 lincoln, my spare came from a taurus wagon. It has to have the very flat motor and a 3 wire elec. plug.

Pontiac Fieros also had a pretty good 2 speed electric fan. I have on on my cruiser, it fits the factory cruiser radiator perfectly, and the High speed is great.

Yep the ford Taurus has a killer electric fan...still havn't found one in pick a parts yet, its a low profile 2 speed fan
I know '95 works and I think '94-93.5 you go earlier and they change the profile. Plastic shroud fits nicely on a cj jeep...

Late 80's early 90's taurus have great fans. I also heard the same about the camaro fans.. I looked up the company that make them but forgot the name. But new one came out to be around $300. I got a flexa lite(about $200). Its worked great for me so far and its keeping my temp down. If you do get a flexalite one dont get the one made for a jeep, I got one of those and that thing wouldnt fit so I had to return it.
