: Ford Track bar Mod

For those of you that find there track bar bushings destroying them selves
far to quickly. Here is a solution.

The bronco goes through the frame end track bar bushing in 3~5 months. Do to actually using the front suspension, unlike the designers at Ford had in mind. The bushing sees a significant amount of torsion stress, while the track bar is twisting it in a radial motion in the mount. This causes severe accelerated wear the bushing. The fix, or my attempt at a fix is to replace
the frame end bushing with a rod end.. With only replacing one bushing, the track bar system should still isolate some of the road vibes, and absorb some shock loads. Something that will not happen if two rod ends are used. I'm waiting on two misalignment bushings to get here to complete the project.
I'll be cutting the end off the OEM track bar, pressing the sleeve over the track bar, and welding it in place. Rod end is an Chromoly 3 piece, Kevlar Teflon lined 3/4x3/4 . I'll be using a misalignment bushing that reduces the 3/4 bore to 1/2". This allows more misalignment than using a smaller rod end
alone. I'll update when the rest of the pieces come in and I finish the project.
