Dustin does excellent work. Check it out... :D:D:D:D Now I just need some rocks to scrape it on. It'll look better when I get the bigger axles under it, a little more lift and some bigger meats...

Not that much really. We used about 8 sticks (20footers) with some cutoff waste. Each stick weighs about 35 lbs. Plus we took off some weight with the old bumper setup so I would guess it only added about 250 lbs or so. It's also spread out over the whole rig so I don't think it will be any problem at all... :D:D

And, the hood opens all the way without touching, the wipers work without touching and all the doors have plenty of room. Dustin was very careful with his measurements. :D:D:D

Give Dustin a cold beer for me!

He sure does really, really nice work.

I hope he knows how much publicity this board will generate from those pictures.

Looks great, man! :D

I think running a tube between the windows on the shell would increase the strength and look good, too.

Whatcha think??? :)

Jam up job on the tube work, looks real nice... I have one question, with the long span on the back with out any bracing if you were to roll it wouldn't the tube just crush into the body? I know it would hold up to scraps and such is that the only idea for the exo? Just seems any exo would buckle if laid on the side.

Any comments?

Glenn- that looks great! I'm considering an exo for my kids Toy. Can you send me Dustin's phone number or some way to get in touch with him?

Thanks!

Thanks ya'll.. :D:D We may still add some gussets to it and perhaps a link between the rear windows too. As for how it would hold up to a hard roll, only one to really find out. Those of you that know me, know I'm not likely to flip it just to find out. It's mostly to save damage from banging into rocks and trees and such along the trail. Who knows, someday when the eco-nazi's close all the trails, I'll cut off the cage and still have a nice grocery getter. :smokin:

Dustin recently broke his cell phone but if anyone wants to get hold of him, email me your number and I'll make sure he gets it. His puter is also on the fritz so he's not on here much right now. Or if you prefer, call me at 803-6940 and give me your number...

Looks good! Awesome work right there.

My only beef is with the rear right next to the top. If it were me, I'd throw in a brace there and turn that big ass rectagle into some nice strong triangles :D

Glenn, love it! Love how close the tube is to the body and how consistent the spacing is...quality work. Do you have any clearer (brighter) pics of the front bumper?

Its as close as I've seen to what I would like on my runner...I'll probably print off some pics for reference :D Only thing I would change would be a long diagonal brace on top over the removable top and maybe a couple of diagonal braces on the same angle as the rear sliders, just behind the slider.

Great Job

Hey Kevin. :D Funny you should ask that. I do have a front 44 and an 87 Toy rear laying around my garage. Also have some Chevy 63" rears and brand new 44044's. For future upgrades of course. I'm gonna run the Toy stuff for now. Got lots of spare parts and a light foot. Let's see how it holds up.. :D:D

That looks very close to the 1 I have designed/party made......How much room did you "figure/allow" you would need to remove the top? Have you removed it since Exo? I must say also.......very nice work.....I like the multi-bends.....looks more "professional".......VERY NICE WORK:D
