I have a stupid question....Why doesnt anyone like the late model (( ball joint )) style D-60's?? What is the real difference in the king pin to the ball joint style?? Is one stronger or narrower or what??? Jeremy

king pin is stronger and a heck of alot more after market parts for them. It really had to put high steer on a ball jointed one. Look cooler :flipoff2: ball joints are supossed to be able to turn sharper. I have seen alot more broken ball joints then king pins.

If you shock a balljoint they'll snap and as a balljoint wears the breakage risk increases. kingpins just wear out and start to get sloppy to the point where you won't be able to keep the truck going straight down the street before one will even consider breaking.
Balljoints track better at high speeds over rough surfaces, but kingpins track better at lower speeds.
