: Junkyard Lift?

i'm thinking, that since every other part for my XJ came from the junkyard. i'm thinkin, might as well have the lift come from there too (granted, i'll have to fab a trackbar and longarm setup, but i'd rather fab it than buy it)

as far as rear springs go, i've heard of people using 1/2 dodge leaves, yj leaves even waggy leaves, anyone consider one set better, taller, more flexible than another?

front springs, i'll probably have to buy these, i want more than the 1.5" i'd get from upcountry ZJ springs. i'm gonna buy shocks too. (i'm cheap, but not that cheap)

I'm lookin to get somewhere around 4"-5" lift. taller is always better, but it can't be any shorter than 4"

Check this link out, this guy says he used 78 f-150 coils to get 4" lift in front. I used the RC kit for 3" and added a leaf from a set of SUA leaves.
