When i "eventually" get an I-beam into the garage, i'd like to put an electric, or maybe an air-powered hoist system.
Anyome have good/bad experience with these, companies to stay away from etc?
Any links would be cool too.

We use Kito on site and it is an excellent product. Their electric chainfalls are not cheap though - I know the 3T that we have were ~$3500 each and a 1/2T one would be ~$1750 to buy. For someone who is working in a garage lifting 5'-7' at a time I cannot see why you would spend money on a electric chainfall over a manual.

NICH and Hitachi both make decent products as well:

Well, i've already got a manual chain fall, but an electric would be nice. :D
At my buddy's place, i've helped with moving a few engines in and out of vehicles and his chain will sometimes get caught on the engine, usually around the throttle body or something. Just a pain, ad i'm thinking an elec. wouldsn't have this problem...
But at that high of a price, it won't be something i get anytime soon. ;)
