I am starting to get my truck "trail-ready" and noticed that I have begun to put on a lot of new electrical goodies which are putting a serious strain on my stock Toyota alternator. If I add a winch, its all over!
I've heard a lot of discussion about swapping in a GM alternator (with a respectible 80-100 amp output)... Question I have is: What model of GM vehicle should I tell the parts place I want one from? Also, do you swap the pulley (so you can use the wide belts) or just get a skinny belt?
Any one else do this with a "stock" 2F? :D
