ESAB plasma electrodes

I've got a PT27 torch, I believe the new torch is PT32

The electrodes that came w the unit were flat on top. I bought some replacements but they're pointy. They fit but don't seem to cut as well or last as long........can anyone confirm if the pointy electrodes were simply an update or did I get the wrong pieces?

I think you have the wrong electrodes. All of mine are pointed, if you are talking about the cups/caps then yes they are flat at the face with a radised edge. I have a 780.

maybe the ones that you had were extended pieces? I know that my hypertherm has different tips and electrodes depending on what you are trying to do. I don't know if that helps you since it is a different machine.
