That looks awsome! I want to do the same to my tent trailer but I wasn't quite sure how to go about it. I like the way you've done yours and will probably do something similar to mine.

You could strap alot of shit on it. Also have a nice table when you take it off the camper when it is up.

At risk of asking the obvious....

I'm wondering how you fold the top up around the tubing?

As far as I can tell all four corners have been pinned so it can be readily removed. IF so, then it would make the perfect way to backpack your gear with out loading down your wheeler. I'd go for it if I had a pop-up.

GR8 idea Bobbedtoy & TinBender!! that really kicks a$$ :D :smokin:

the reason it was done is too haul some light stuff out to the basecamp.. and it will also double as a table.. all four corners will have bolts on them.. unbolt it.. lift it off and pop it up.. i can store stuff on the table while at camp also.. glad to hear most of you like it.....

also need to give thanks to bender for his time and help...

Well it's just a start, but you get the idea......(cept randi)..lol

It'll get some upper rails that run front to back the full length that sit about 6" up to stuff'n it and also give a full lenght tie down spot.. It's made from 1.5"x.120 so it should be good for a couple hundred pounds...

Once the rails and the flat expanded are on it should look purdy good to..

The mount points were made flat so it won't sink in the dirt/sand and it makes a GREAT 9' x 3' table :D:D:D

That is way cool! I have the same trailer and was wanting to get a rack of some kind for the top of it because my trucks always so packed full of crap when i go on overnight runs. That looks GREAT!!

BBB...
If your gonna get/make one, front to back was IMO the best way to go..

If you mount it side to side, the lift rails force you to make it to wide.:( This way, you mount to the tonge and to the rear bumper:) just remember to load it with 60% of the weight forward of the axle..:D:D:D

I musta missed that detail picture of where the feet meet the frame. :D :flipoff2: :D

You wouldn't have been the first person to have built a 10-foot truck inside of a 9' garage door. :D

Honestly, I was expecting that you would answer me that the trailer didn't NEED to pop up, since there was already standing headroom for goats.

Randii

ps - 'headroom for goats.' Anyone want to run with that? :D

That "garage" is TinBenders 4X4 and Fab Shop. It's his place
of business.
