I'm pulling the 350/465/205 from my truck and moving it all over to my blazer.
With both front clips removed could I yank it all out as 1 pc?

I'd like to keep this as simple as possible so the less I take apart the better.

Here's how I pulled mine, all in one shot,no body but I've done it before with the body on too.

454/465/205 no problem with the front clip off. I got $10 that says he comes back to ask how to pop the stick off out of the 465 without having to take the whole top plate off the tranny.

Thanks guys
Clip is already off the truck so ...

By the way I was wondering how to pop the stick off out of the 465 without having to take the whole top plate off the tranny.

I figure I could just cut it and reweld it back on if I need to.:flipoff2:

You owe me $5 smash.

You owe me $10, you just push the ball at the base of the stick down and turn it about a 1/2 an inch clockwise then it will pop right out.

If you really need it I can pop mine out and take a picture of how it works, But that will cost you another $10

am I the only that sees that that tranny and T-case aren't a 465/205?? I think it's an automatic, but i could be wrong, maybe gm made some automatic 465 and snuck them in a few trucks.

You know tiny if you're going to be a smart ass you should get your facts straight first.

WTF ? :mad2: I never implied that my pic was of a SM465/205,just trying to show offroadkc that the motor/tranny/transfer case can be pulled while they are all together, but just so there is no more confusion and I don't want ya to strain yer tiny thinker it is a pic of a T400/205 oh ya & I don't want to forget the 350 too

And here's a pic of my 350/465/205 in the frame, didn't take any pics of it when it was hanging from my engine hoist, but it went in the same way the 350/T400/205 came out all in one assembly

your right, you never did imply what you had, but since he asked a specific question, it is implied that the answer should contain question specific information. Any way. Off road, have you thought about dropping everything? lifting everything enough to remove crossmembers and then just lower it. I don't know how much lift you have, so I don't know if that would help or hurt you. You could do it over one of those oil change pits, or drive on a set of car ramps to give you enough clearance to slide all the old out and the new in.

Actually I hadn't thought of that Tiny.
It would be a great idea but the blazer is just frame and body now and the p/u is not really mobile either so it won't work.

I'll store the thought away for future ref though.
