We it let loose at the Hammer's durring Frostoberfest. After pulling it and looking at the welds, I surprised it lasted this long 0% penetration and if you look hard enough you'll see that the puddle did not even touch all the way around the shaft (shiny vs. rust) I think my 7 yr old could have welded better than that  :shaking:

I must be a wuss driver cuz I have have 3 Hammer trips and two Rubicon trips (both through the little sluice) :flipoff2:

Sorry to hear about the shaft failure, but didn't you get a :smokin: deal on that shaft anyway

Mine is still holding together so I must be a bigger wus :D scwafish broke his on the Con in the same manner as yours, but it was a "good thing". He came down HARD on his front ds on a rock and the bad weld just let go. If it had been put together right, he would have had a right-angle driven shaft  As it was, someone with an on-board welder and grinder put it back together and he was off and running.

Hope yours didn't ruin your trip.

Hmm.. High Angle rear, Concorde Drive Line Service front.

Both had the crap kicked out of them, still no problems. Oh, yea they are both Toy CV base shafts.

True, and no it didn't ruin it. It broke AFTER we turned around on outer limits, one of the rigs was not making it. I think I would have been rig number 2 if I would have kept going

Yeah, but HTF is Ansel Adams ????

Late 1900's, early 20th century photographer, took lots of west coast wilderness pictures; mostly in black & white.

Search on Google, and you'll find way more than you want to know..

Yea, but I'm suprised any of the old folks can even remember that..

They say memory is the second thing to go.. I can't remember what the first was anymore..

I had a front AZ shaft bend under the slight pressure of crawling out of a muddy rut, pissed me off.
