I was looking in the other thread of international troopers and there are 4x4 NPR trucks. They look like they have a solid front axle..... So does this mean isuzu makes a 2ton front axle?? does anyone have any info on these.

NPR's use beam axles, so yes, in a manner of speaking, isuzu does make solid axles... but not the type you're looking for. Isuzu has never used a solid front axle in a passenger class vehicle.

I knew isuzu never made a solid front in a passenger truck, although it would be sweet if they did, but even the trucks on this page are tube fronts? i was just hoping there was a chance with these

REAR FSS FTS
ISUZU R065 R092

Full floating banjo type.

Good ratio for 38s and above, selective locking rear dif. And I would say the obvious stregnth comparable to Dana60s or above. The final ration is about 72:1, not bad for a delivery truck  . To bad its only an Aussie model.
I think Matt had a little discussion on the NPR axles/engines before. Have to look for it.

I see a 4x4 npr running around here. I have no idea how the guy got it, but the axles are huge. The wheel lug pattern is big rig style as well. Seems to me that if huge axles are your thing Rockwells would be easier.

I would probably never use the axle in a swap, although it would be kinda cool, i was just wondering just to know if isuzu made the axle or if someone else did. Kinda cool to know isuzu does as least make a solid axle.

i think isuzu has made some interesting stuff over the years especially internationally. I'd love to know more about the "big" truck isuzu lines.
if you buy a gas NPR...they come w/ a chevy 5.7L ......so i am sure there is some interesting drivetrain combos out there.
here is a f/r leaf sprung Isuzu form the mid 60's used in spain............pretty :smokin:
