Hey guy's,

I am thinking of buying a ford, but have never owned one and don't know much about them. I am looking at a 1995 F-350 Crewcab longbed. I has a 460, auto, 4x4, 6" lift, 33" tires, full power, ac, camper shell, carpet kit, no bumper (roll pan), and a K&N air filter. It has 103K miles on it. He is asking $7000. Is this a good deal? The truck runs good and the interior is in good shape. What kind of tranny, t-case, axles, etc. do thes trucks have? Are there any problems I can expect from these kinds of trucks? How much can these trucks tow? Thanks for any and all help.

Great trucks . Will tow a house but the gas milage will put you in the soup line. Make sure to add a good trans cooler if not allready equiped. Good luck!

$7000 sounds fair to me, but try an opening shot around 5500 and see where that gets you.

Transmission should be an E4OD, it's a C6 with overdrive (kinda like the 4L80 vs. the TH400)
Front axle will be a balljoint D60, rear'll be a D70 or possibly 80.
Tcase will be a BW chain driven, don't know the exact model, but i'd figure on a 1356 that has a 2.7:1 low range(no matter the exact model it'll have a 2.7 low range)

It's a solid truck that you shouldn't have any issues with. Like Tres said, be prepared for the fuel bill. Be happy in the low teens for highway and the high single digits around town (10/14, somethign like that)
