This is what I have built so far. It is the caliper bracket for a GM caliper. I am using a 12" rotor from a 1/2 ton chevy truck mounted to my hand e-brake flange ....Has anybody else experimented with the one brake set up??? I will be connecting this to both front and rear sides of a GM master cylinder and booster...Loking for input before I go much further..Sometimes I bite off more thatn I can Chew.http://www.kaiserman.freeservers.com/images/image001.jpg This Is what that junk is attached to. I like to call it Whatyoumakewhenyoucleantheyardbuggy

That looks to me like an e-brake...Mine will be the brakes for my whole rig.

I have a pick of the caliper bracket in rough form on my web page..It is either on photo page 3 or 4.www.kaiserman.freeservers.com (http://www.kaiserman.freeservers.com)
The reason this is my normal brake is that this is a strictly off highway rig and I am real tired of snagging lines and such...Also I figure if a monster truck can stop with two pinion brakes I can stop with one...Maybe

Looks sweet..Ya FAWKEN NEWBIE:flipoff2: :flipoff2:
For the rest of you...your braking is multiplied by your R&P ratio which is how military and monster trucks can stop with 2 brakes.

Okay so you have no brakes at the wheels right?
If you do they aren't doing anything unless you proportion down the drivline brake.
Me personally I like having the forward bais on the trail too, might just be me though.
Looks like a kick ass project, i bet you'll have some fun in it. :smokin:

Did I forget to mention that is a Bottle baby 500 CAD and turbo 400 with Dana 60 (front) 70(rear) Both locked with 42" swampers....Or was this apparent from the photo.......Before the bashers come out I want to say that this rig is Duel purpose...With the 5.87 gears crawling in 2:1 should not be a problem...and in mud high range with the bottle, whipping some smallish motor should be pretty much like drivinig thru coolwhip....

Interesting idea. the problem I would have with it though is that if you blow a driveshaft you've got no brakes on one end.
