One of the guys downstairs from the shop has loaned me his welder for several months. Last Sunday, his shop got broken into and he lost nearly everything.

In some degree of self-interest and some altruism, I'm thinking he might want some $ and I want to keep this welder.

I've been using it for a coupla months, it works. It's a little beat up, the torch is burned up where the diffuser/wire guide screws in, but did I say it works?

I was thinking it might be fair to offer $500, but wasn't sure fi that was WAY too much, or too little.
