I noticed this over in Gen 4X4.
back to tires
Michelins are a better deal here in Canada then Intercos
I was paying over $400cdn a tire for Intercos and bought new XLs for $520cdn
problem is they are a bit tricky to find so I am having to learn about retreading and how to get the retread plant to do what I want rather then what thye want
ML 70 pattern is real sweet on a Michelin casing
Now I have questions for you. I run 2 sets of tires on my rig. Offroad (trail rides & mud runs) I use 39.5 X 18 Boggers, but when I'm doing alot of street driving (playing in snow storms & traveling to runs) I use 39.5 X 15 Mickey Thompsons. Anybody who has been at 60 MPH on 40" Bias Ply boggers knows why I switch them. But the MT's are starting to get worn down, so now I have 2 questions.
Whats a good michilen tire in the 40" range?
What have you learned about retreading?
I thought I might have the MT casings retreaded in an ag tread for the buggy I was thinking about building. I can get retreads for a skid steer, front end loader, tractor trailer or passenger car but nobody even seems to want to talk about retreading an offroad truck tire. Have you learned anything I should know?
