welp.... been havin some play in my steering lately and i found out what it was... the tie rod ends are SHOT on the waggy steering setup. SOOOOO here is my excuse to upgrade.

i need some options. i need to do this asap cause i need to wheel this weekend its like a 6 hour drive so i wouldnt mind getting the steering fixxed so i dont run someone off the road (by accident this time)

dont think i want to fool with flat top knuckles and such, but i figure leave it knuckle over and convert the drag link over to the knuckle as well.

any pics, idea, personal experiences, etc. any help is apretiated.
i want to tighten up this steering as much as i can.

thanks guys

EDIT:.... sorry forgot to say... its a 97 TJ with a front waggy 44 with about 8" of lift and 38's. money is not a major issue for the conversion but the least pain in the ass the better i really DONT want to take the knuckles off if i dont have to thats just too much to deal with this week and the cj is taking up the garage.

One fairly simple solution that works pretty well is to run the tie rod under the knuckles and mount your draglink on top of the passenger side. Just put misalignment spacers on the heims at the knuckle and pitman arm....you'll be good to go. Since You've got that RE lift, just use a stock pitman arm instead of their drop one and you won't have much if any bumpsteer.

Good luck,

CJ
