ok, i have posted a few other times on here...

i bought this truck over thh summer with little to no knowledge of 70's fords. i am trying to learn everything i can, and it is a trying process with different opinions from everyone i ask...

here is a link to some pictures that i took before i bought the truck, so i could get some advice if it was worth what i was going to pay.

well, i bought it, brought it home and have basically just driven it around town and let it sit. now, i have saved up the money i need to start modifying it...

if you could look through the pictures, and maybe tell me some things about the truck, tell me what it looks like it is missing, what could be changed, what has been done wrong, etc...

right now, i know the tcase is trash (won't go into anything but the equivalent of 2lo, but is an np203, so that makes no sense to me)... the rear u-joint on the rear driveshaft breaks all the time... and there is a popping noise that comes from the right exhaust pipe, every once in a while... like a little sizzle...

and i know it is missing alot for the ac system.

i really appreciate it.

You're rear u-joint trouble is likely a result of the stacked lift blocks. They may be allowing the rear axle to move around and bind the joint.

Check the front hubs to make sure they are engaging. I had a problem with a stock Ford hub lock sticking in the hub and not engaging properly.

Your best bet for the transfer case is just swap in a np205, if your 203 really is in bad shape I wouldnt bother rebuilding it just keep it in the garage for a doubler setup down the road.

also like mentioned that stacked block setup is not to great
