Anyone have a pic of the

Cast Iron Clutch Shift Fork 15687296 $ 34.00

Is there a specific reason why the Cast Fork is used? Is that part # stamped into the ForK? I have the one that came with the tranny, any way to tell which one I have?

I've got that exact pic on my writeup, showing both the steel and the cast forks. There's a HUGE difference in the two.

I think the link is http://woody.ih8mud.com/sm465.html

Brian

Thanks for the pic, Exactly what I was looking for.

The one I have at home is the one on the left. Is that the one I need? Hope so. Thanks.

no the one on the right is the 0ne you want.

but I have wondered if you could use the
stamped one if you combined it with
the adjustable ball that sumit sells ???

seems to me it would work ??

Actually, the cast is on the right, and that's the one you need to find. I paid $10 for it at a junkyard.

(If you mouseover the pic, it even says "correct on right!" lol)

That figures, I have 2 of the ones on the left at home. Time to go parts hunting. Later

why do you need the cast one? I had the stamped one in mine and it was in good shape when I pulled it(alum. bellhousing was craked all over) The stamped one I have in there now works fine too.

Actually I am sure there is a reason, what is it?

Where do you get the fork for 34.00$? I called the dealer to get when and it was 86 there. Any other places recommended?
