LR 90 Engine Oil Cooler placement
I am planning on mounting an engine oil cooler on my 1988 Land Rover 90. The cooler is 1" thick, 5-1/2" by 18". It looks as though I can squeeze it in between the AC cooling fans and the grill, if I can move the expanded metal screen behind the grill so it's right up against the grill; and move the grill out by about 3/4 inch. This would place the cooler against the grill, with the recommended 1" space between the fans and the cooler.
Another option is to place it just below the fans which brings the bottom of the cooler at about the level of the bottom of the stock bumper. But this takes it out of the main air flow of course. It's extremely hot here int he Middle East, so cooling is critical.
Any thoughts/advice on engine oil-cooler placement?

Thanks,

Move the radiator closer to the engine instead. You have the room to do this, without mucking about with the bodywork.
