I heard Steve Crawwford hurt his knee and the camp will be closed for a few weeks. News on the genreal forum about it. I might be up for a ride though. I wonder if Green Cove Hilton is booked up :confused:

I just called Crawford camp and then I called Steve Crawford at his house, no one was home but the answering machine at the Camp said it would be closed starting Dec. 6, but the cabins that are located there are still available for rental. We will be staying at these cabins sat. dec. 18-22 if anyone wants to meet there. pm me and i'll give you my # and details on the vehicles we have going.

I have 3 trucks that are probably wheelin there that weekend as well. Were from Chicago, do you know the trails there??

I know the trails well enough to get around but i don't know them as good as some people, we always carry a map. shoot me a pm and i'll give you my number so we could possibly meet up :D

What days will you be up there and riding?
It may not be possible but I might sneak up there for the day!

we will be there sat. around 2 or so, and leaving on wed. morning,
not sure what trails we're doing what days just depends on how the weather goes, prob ride the easier stuff the first 2 days, then do slick rock, lower2, guardrail, and others on last 2 days.

Now if only I can talk the wife into letting me go Sat or Sun!

If I came up for one day, is it cool to have my 2.5 yr old girl w/ me or do I need to leave her @ home.

She can handle trails like # 4,5,6,8

but I don't want to cramp ya'lls style, I like to get a little wild when I get out without her :grinpimp:

I'm bringing my dog and I wouldn't be suprised if we rolled this weekend; it builds character!

I'd Really like to go, but I don't think I'll make it. If I do go it will be a last minute deal so I'll swing by Crawfords or try to catch you at the trail head in the morning. What time will you guys be hitting the trail?

Is There A Cheaper Place To Stay Other Than The Cabins?at 75 Dollars A Night It Would Be A Expensive Trip.

Green Cove Motel. About 28 a night with two queen beds, (one for you one for the cockroaches). It is on the Tenn. side and closer to the trails than Crawfords. Or the Western Motel in Murphy about the same rate, and condition as Green Cove. Green Cove is a little run down but a nice place in a great setting. If you stay at the cove bring groceries/ extra gas because the store across the street might be closed and town is 20 miles away. Very important note: Murphy is a dry county bring your beer!
