Well there used to be a company that made a t-case plug.
Say your out on the trail and break a yoke on the axle or your driveshaft. You need to get off the trail and to a location to fix it.
Instead of spewing fluid everywhere because the driveshaft is removed.
There used to be a company that made a plug for like np231s and np242s
I think that company is out of business so what are you guy using?
Or do you guys even care?

Well it only took me 5 minutes to come up with this on Google..... :shaking:
It's called a Plugzit
http://www.off-road.com/products/showcase/plugzit.htm
Looks like they are no longer in business.
It looks easy to make....this is a site that the guy made his own the only problem is it's in German and my work computer will not translate the page for some reason this is the site.

I have also seen guys cut the end of a plastic water bottle off and stuff it over the end of the t-case tailshaft and duct tape the hell out of it just to get them off the trail.
The best way to avoid this altogether is to do a SYE or get rid of the 231 and go to a flipped D300 or an Atlas.

Hmm I could have searched google also if I wanted to find the company that was out of business. There phone no longer works so hence the reason for my post. :flipoff2:

I also gave you a site where someone made there own and a cheap idea on what to do to get it off the trail. I guess you missed that part :shaking: Both of the ideas I gave you I also found on google :flipoff2: . Like I said before the BEST way (other than getting rid of the 231 timebomb) to avoid this it to get rid of the week ass slip yoke and go HD SYE with a fixed yoke. But what the hell do I know.

Dude the site you sent is nothing more then the german version of some guy trying to sell the plugzit.

So you basicly just posted the same damn thing just in a different language. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Now I have seen guys use the waterbottle trick but it still leaks. I was trying to see if someone/another company has started making something similar.

Check with your local junk yard. My buddy buys them all the time so they can ship tcases and the like without them leaking. I stole a few and threw them in the box. Thank God I haven't needed them yet.

LIsle makes a double sided universal tranny plug most auto prts stres should have them.Or go to atrans shop and ask if you could have a couple of the plugs that come in the trannys and transfer cases they get. They come in all different colors and sizes. there the throwaway type like you get when you buy a radiator and are slid over the rad necks.JB

NAPA also has a wide selection. Even had one for my Atlas II.
