I'm doin a solid axle on my chevy (not exactly newb) but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a write up or way to find out info on rebuilding a ford front 60. It's from an '86 and I'm replacing all of the bearings and whatnot. The only part I'm not really sure about is the way the kingpin/knuckle area works. is there some sort of preload adjustment like on a toy axle?

Yea, what he said. Check out the tech section. I have found the answers to so many questions there without having to search through the crap in the search. Dana 60 bible should explain everything.

the preload is supposed to be set by the kingpin spring
it doesnt work so great
when you get deathwobble try shimming the spring
