ok i can get a set of D44's out of a j10 (6lug), problem is the front is a passenger side drop. the vehical i want to put them in is a 91YJ that i swaped out the 2.5/ax5/NP231 for a 4.0/aw30-40le/NP231, well you all kno that the NP231 is a driverside output, ive heard of fliping the TC so the front output is on the pass. side. is this true for th NP231? has ne one done this? :shaking:

OK I'm a newb and I know it's not cool to flame other newbs but you might want to delete this and ask in the newbie fourm soon before the flames start flying, or wait until next Tuesday and ask again. I'll give you a hint on this one before you get flamed all to hell the hint is Dana300.

:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

If you would read the fawking forum rules before you just start posting you could find the info on your own by SEARCHING. then if you ask your additional questions IN THE RIGHT FORUM you would get the answers you need.

Aw F-wk it I have to say this. If you would spend a little less time working on shit and maybe do a little research on your own you wouldn't have to ask simple or stupid questions. Get a clue and use the search functions at the top of the page or only post on Tuesdays it's your choice. :flipoff2:

Forgive me for being a newb that flamed a newb. I've been lurking here for a long time and I know my place and this may have stepped over the line but I just had to do it.

I will tell you the best thing you can do is get a Dana 300 transfer case. It should bolt right up but you might need a spacer. The Dana 300 is made for passenger side drop front axles. Considering that the J10 axles are way stronger than what you had (no need to get into the d30 vs d44 u-joint argument) when combined with the D300 would be a great swap.

I am getting ready to install a D300 into my rig but flipped.

I told you the D300 would be a better swap, ditch the 231! and come on guys everybody hates researching shit when you need to get something done fast, and he's new to the whole pirate thing, so be easy on him.

you want a Dana 300 out of an early 80 CJ, not the np231. Search under dana 300 swap and you'll get all t he info you need on how to do it

Damn guys, that was fucking hard :flipoff2:
