: Link size?

I've been surfing the threads and can find all kinds of info on how to link the rear of my bronco, no one really mentions material. I'm curious to know what type of material, and how big (Dia. x wall) are most people using to make their links. What would most people consider safe/good for a non-comp heavy truck?

Im not an engineer, but I assume that anyone that is, that is going to answer this question would need to know a) how heavy your rig is, b) how u use your rig and c) how long your links are going to be.

Weighs about 4200lbs total
I will go where ever the trail takes me. Moab(every other year), Hammers(every other year), Disney and Clayton Okla(currently), Super lift off Road park Ark.(Current). I will push 4+ trails. I due believe in technique instead of throttle. I've left my truck on trails for weeks in NV because of breakdown. I don't like doing that, so stronger is better. My engineering friend has many different answers depending on type of material. I have purchased 1.75x.325 1026 DOM, which I got a great deal on,and he has told me will work. I do trust my friend, so I'm just probing. Sometimes experience can over rule any engineering spec.
Links will be 33-36" long RE joint on one end Poly on the other.
Over all weight of the suspension is not as important as reliability.

I would bet you could use 1.75x 0.250 Mine are 2x 0.375 but I am heavier. Download the link calculator it figures it all out for you.
