For those of you (like myself) that use rechargable batteries in digital cameras take note.
There is a company that sells them at a highly reduced rate. Check out www.sabahoceanic.com
For example , my canon takes a battery that I couldn't find for under $50, but thru the website , I purchased 2 for $45.00 and that includes shipping. :smokin:

That's why when I was shopping for a digital camera high on my priority list was it needs to be able to use AA batteries. I ended up with a Olympus C-3000 You can use these expensive Lithium batteries it comes with.
It will run on AA aylk's available at most stores. I hit the local Batteries plus and bought a rechagable NiMh AA's with charger and a second set of batteries it was under $43.
When I go off for a long weekend I have 2 sets of rechargable and a set of Aylk's as a back up.
I hate those dedicated battery packs. It's a rip off that the manufactures pull so you have to buy their expensive products. If you crack that open you will find they have individual stacked cells in them. Most use the same ones it's just the "SPECIAL" container to fit the product that is different.
There is only a few companies that actully make batteries in the world. They make the individual cells and then the rest of the companies buy them up assemble them the way they want and stick their lable on them.
Sony, Union Carbide, and one other company make about 80% of the batteres sold world wide.
