I am building a sammy based buggy and was wondering if anybody had any good ideas on where to mount a spare tire. My old sammy has it mounted on the back of the roll cage, you cant see a damn thing when you are backing up. I still want to go camping with the buggy, so I need the spare tire. I searched but did not find anything usefull.

Get some tires that have serious sidewall, get a good plug kit and forget about it. :)

I leave my spare at the trailer, and like AZRocks says.. Carry lots of plugs/patches and misc tire repair stuff.

Same here, leave spare in bed of tow vehicle. Carry plenty of plugs and glue. It hard to mount a 36" Swamper in a Zuk. :smokin:

My buddy fabbed up a York compressor for air and uses the inlet side to suck the air out of his tire and makes it smaller to fit in a smaller space it looks funny but works.
