Will a t-18 or t-19 bolt up to the bellhousing on a buick 231? Could it be modified to?

Go to www.novak-adapt.com they have instructions posted on how to do it without an adaptor.

I run a 231 with T18, here are the basic steps:
1) Have the front bearing retainer machined down to fit the bellhousing, and throwout - Novak did mine for $25 exchange.
2) Get their special pilot bearing that mates the ford input shaft to the buick.
3) drill a couple extra 5/8 holes in the tranny flange to match the bellhousing - one lines up alrerady and another just needs to be enlarged. - if you want to get fancy, tap them I just used a nut.
